Annual Dinner 2008

Wow! *clap clap to myself*

I made 3 post in a row! hehehe~ thats why aaa~ don't procrastinate, even when you blog...

On 19th December 2008, I went for the first company annual dinner ever. It was held at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

`

Basically, I made a super mild make-up. Oh I seriously can't imagine myself with pink cheeks and deep red/pink lipstick. Nope I didn't do that. Just a mild foundation and light pink lipstick. (I filtered half of the lipstick)

`

When I first reach the lower lobby, I was totally stunned.

`

97% of the people there dressed up according to the theme!! The theme was magical and fairy tales. So there were many pirates (Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook), princesses, and fairies (I saw countless fairy wings). I'm one of the 3% who wore normal dinner type of dress. Eh wait. Mine is casual dress somemore. Yeng leh~ my "I-don't-want-to-follow-the-crowd" attitude. Hahaha~ no la...I'm just being lazy and stingy to dress up...

`

So whats the best activity of the night?

`

Camera pose pose lor~ what else? This was the best thing to do for the night.

`

The event was set at 7pm but all of us went in at 8pm. Then started those performance, speech and we start to eat BREAD/BUN at 8pm when I was hungry since 6pm! Well, luckily the speech given by the partner was interesting. His way of delivering the speech fully captured my attention. Diverted my attention from hunger for some time.

Been staring the menu before the food comes...

Bell pepper, tomatoes and cucumber soup with wok seared marinated scallop

- The soup ah, ok-ok lo~ too bad I've tried Marmalade's soup, its unbeatable!

`

After the soup, we had another bread/bun again.

`

At 9pm, finally the main dish arrived! At long last!

Herbed breast of chicken served with roasted wild mushroom, chicken jus, potatoes and roasted vegetables.

- not bad la~ but its just not bad, not good either. And I'm not full at all! But I'm not hungry too. Just not satisfied and just too tired to have the urge to eat.

Walnut parfait, deep fried banana spring roll and blueberry coulis- This is the best dish for the night. I like the cake, not that stupid banana topping though. I was kinda sleepy after I ate the cake. It was 10pm by that time.

`

We are supposed to have "Freshly brewed coffee and tea" after the cake. But almost everyone made the move out from the hall. Either to take photo (we have a free photoshot each), to take more photos, to clubbing or simply go home.

`

The event ended at 11.30pm+ but my aunts came at 11pm. I didn't follow them home (=P) and sis came to fetch me instead.

`

While waiting for sis, I took some of the hotel's scenery...

And so I reached home at 1am.
