Sri Ayutthaya

Sri Ayutthaya @ USJ 11

Today, 2nd bro work from home. So 3 of us (including sis) went out for lunch. Upon reaching the place, 2nd bro said he feel as if he went to some peaceful place because the restaurant area is so quiet! It is situated at quiet residential area, which is a big contrast compared to Taipan which is always conquered by cars and cars AND CARS!!

I like the drawings of this menu. but NOT the logo. Somehow it is too....... Thai? XD

Super thin + long fork & spoon.

Keang keaw waan kai
- Green curry chicken (medium)
~ taste not bad lor. It is not spicy unless you accidentally eat the chilli. (poor bro? sis? got it, saved me from trying it or I will be cursing the dish right now! XD)

Soup - Tom yam kai/ phark
- Tom yam chicken/ vegetables
~ the soup looks the same so I just post the vege soup here. Taste? Quite spicy and sour but the proportion of sour is higher. It is nice for those who like Tom Yam. Sis and bro quite okay with it but nah~~~ no Tom Yam for me. (Now you wonder why I eat at Thai restaurant? Err... something new to try? XD)

Khana phad pls kem
- fried kailan vegetables with salted fish
~ Well~ eat out with sis means "no nonsense (unhealthy food or food that can cause her to change shape) food please", so nope! this vege was free from salted fish! Anyway, the vege was fresh and nicely cooked. Ahh~ How I wish I can have this on weekdays too because my aunt will only cook on weekends...

Fried rice
- I don't know that sis ordered the rice. So... call it as "Pineapple boat fried rice"? =D cute leh!! *wink wink*
~ But hey... it taste quite nice leh~ the fried rice is not too dry and the pineapple made the rice more "juicy/watery". The best part is, it cooled down the spicy taste we got from those Tom Yamsss!

Thod man pla
- deep fried fish cake
~ It is quite similiar to "otak-otak" (maybe because due to the spices and herbs used?) and the inner part is quite watery (not that deep fried). It taste quite nice especially when it is dipped with the sauce. I personally think the sauce is lemongrass sauce. It taste somehow like that.

Sis said need to capture the flower pic. Don't want to waste the chef's effort is it? XD

Err..... some nice chinese style tofu.
I like this kinda sauce. Like those "ying yeung" noodles type of sauce. Another antitode to Tom Yam.

Before I end this post, bro told me to highlight this:
~ We saw "siu keong" a.k.a. cockcroach on the table! ~

*laugh*

The cockcroach crawled on the table and bro got a shocked out of it.
But nope, no one got diarrhea, so far~
